- Lauran on Katie: Katie is a fine young frontier women who was born in St. Louis, MO. She discovered her passion for life during high school when she frequently volunteered at Children's Hospital. Katie made her dreams come true by attending SLU. Katie's favorite pastime is banking. Wen became friends when we planned to meet in Paris over spring break... she stood me up, and a beautiful friendship began. Katie also loves to travel, her most memorable travels are to Ireland, Spain, and Antarctica. Recently, she discovered she was incredibly allergic to kiwi, and now has an epi-pen surgically implanted in her right hip bone. Katie is excited to learn about our nation's history on this trip, and to use roadside flares when emergencies arise.
